Semester pattern with Choice based credit system 2014-15

The Masters Degree course in Commerce has 64 credits in 4 semesters. Each semester would have 16 credits. Students will have to take admission in respective department and complete 4 semesters incorporated in syllabus structure of Savitribai Phule Pune University.

For each paper of 100 marks, there will be an internal assessment of 50 marks and the University examination of 50 marks (3 hrs. duration) at the end of each semester. A candidate who will secure at least 40% marks allotted to each paper will be given 4 credits

The Student can earn extra 10 credits by doing extra courses like Skill Development, Human Rights & Introduction to Cyber Security.


Course Objectives:
a) To improve language proficiency of the students.
b) To make them realize their potential and help in becoming professionals in accounting, finance, management, marketing, business administration, etc.

Course structure

The M.com degree course will be of 2 years duration consisting of 4 semesters and of minimum 64 credits as below

Choice Based Credit System

Masters degree course in Chemistry has 100 credits in 4 Semester. Each Semester would have 25 credits. Students will have to take admission in Respective Department & Complete 3 Semesters incorporated in syllabus structure of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The remaining 4th semester shall be chosen from the courses offered by the same department or any other department of same or any other college of SPPU or any other university etc. as per the guidelines given by the Savitribai Phule Pune University .

The In-semester and End-semester examination will be of 50 Marks each. Assessment shall consists of continuous assessment (CA) and End-semester examination (ESE). Each have equal weight age of marks. A variety of mechanism for internal evaluation are available in the college such as 1. Written test, 2. Seminar, 3. Group discussion, 4. Online Test, 5. Open Book Test, 6. Research Project, 7. Research paper review, 8. Oral / Quiz, etc.
