The research center in commerce is recognized by Savitribai Phule Pune University. It offers Ph.D. programme in Commerce.

The Research center has a very well equipped computer center with separate internet facility and rich library.

Admission :

The candidates who seek admission for Ph. D. are required to clear the entrance examination conducted by Savitribai Phule Pune University. The application form will be available online on the website http://phd.unipune.ernet.in. Candidate should fill-up the online application form and send a hard copy of the application form along with bank DD and other documents.

Admission Procedure.
For Entrance examination.

Paper - I : Research Aptitude test of 100 marks where each correct answer carries 1 Mark & no negative marking system. (Paper-I Consists of 3 Parts.
A) Language Competency B) Numerical Ability. C) Logical Reasoning.
Paper - II is Subject specific paper of 100 marks which consists of multiple Choice questions of 20 marks & theoretical / descriptive questions of 80 marks.

Exemption From Written Test :

Candidates who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRE/M.Phil / ICRA / ICMR / DBT are exempted from appearing for the written examinations. They are eligible for Personal interview at the Research Center.

Personal Interview :

Those who have passed in entrance examination or those who are exempted from the entrance exam can apply for personal interview. Personal interview will carry 100 marks and university committee will engage this interview. Selected candidate may apply to Registrar, Savitribai Phule Pune University, in the prescribed application from along with prescribed fees & eight copies of his / her Ph. D. proposal, through the research center. On ascertaining the eligibility of the applicant and the recommendation of the guide, the research center shall provisionally admit the student. The admission will be confirmed only after the Research & Recognition committee approves the topic.
